Working on the album Quirk and other news...

Rollercoaster of a time since last posting here.
( Short version - Managed to get a remix of Digibilly's single 'Lunatic' released with 2 other artists remixes. Uploaded another of the Khuhrce metal tracks I've been working on. Started work on an album for 'Jessica Grant' that is mostly actual songs! not just instrumentals, and had a lovely review of 'salt the earth' ep by YeahIKnowItSucks )

So yeah, long version, Firstly got a chance to preview of Digibilly's album "The Smooth, The Groove, The Grungy" which is as full of banging drum and bass with his own unique twists which is coming later this summer (however long we in the UK get summer for this year?)
My review is over here - Scarecrowmusing Blog
Additionally got to get a remix of the single for the album 'Lunatic' along with two other artists (Katomo and Verzo) interpretations links to listen/purchase the Lunatic EP from your preferred services at DigibillyMusic.com

On the heavy shouty metal front, I have had issues recording guitar parts, as my arthritis has started to really badly affect my left index finger (fretting hand) and it is very painful to use in general, let alone try playing instruments with... I have 3-4 riffs recorded that need editing only getting the track 'Fret' completed so far... Lyrics and download via Bandcamp

Outside of metal I have finally felt inspired to get on with an album of Jessica Grant quirky electronica.
Had my friend Nadia stay over for a few days recently and asides from catching a few kick ass goth/punk bands at 1in12 club (we missed last two acts, but The Lost Souls, Dawn of Elysium and Expelaires each were great to see and hear)

Post-gig in a slightly drunken state of messing around with a unicorn balloon and looking for random weird clips to green screen into a video with balloon deflating came across some Cyriak animations (I've loved this guys warped visions for awhile) but thinking more, that if we're uploading this ourselves lets just do it all ourselves, got Nadia to film me shaking head about like a loon + bashed together a 36 second long quirky tune.
Woke up next morning and feeling inspired used the same preset synth sound and a single edited drum patch to bash out the beginnings of what makes the (so far) 13 tracks that will be out as the album 'Quirk' link to free to download preview tracks below youtube player of the thing that inspired the madness :)

Via Power Cord nom de plume, I have another drone/noise track coming out on another Fallen Lo- compilation late may/early June.

To finish on what was an awesome surprise, caught a lovely written review of my previous
'salt the earth' ep by YeahIKnowItSucks
"Let this delightful EP of Jessica Grant be the lighthearted kindness to fill up your heart and ears. With a lovely melodic showcase she brings us the nightly sleepy pleasantness of a electronic composition called ‘cascade’, which feels like the experienced touch of a feather, while at the same time being tightly programmed for a bright energetic friendly future."

Hope all are well, aiming to try and keep these update posts around one every month or two.
Til next time, all the best to yourself - Jess.
